Types of Catheters Available

Indwelling/Foley Catheters - Catheters with a retention balloon to keep it in place for an extended time.

External Catheters - also known as condom catheters, these male catheters fit over the penis like a condom and drain directly into a collection bag. 

Hydrophilic Catheters - pre-lubricated catheters with a hydrophilic coating to prevent friction that can damage the urethra. Most hydrophilic catheters come with a water sachet inside the packaging that, when broken, activates the catheter coating providing a sterile environment reducing the risk of developing urinary tract infections (UTIs). 

Intermittent Catheters - single-use catheters available in a straight tip or coudé tip (curved tip). 

Closed System Catheters - intermittent catheters that drain directly into a collection bag.
